Course Description

The course is designed to imparting basic knowledge of communication, navigation, surveillance (CNS)/air traffic management (ATM), aeronautical information management, meteorology, air traffic management, human factors and safety management systems to Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) involved in safety related tasks and those seeking to complete the basic minimum training requirements for ATSEP Licensing in accordance with ICAO DOC. 10057 of Procedures for Air Navigation Training (PANS-TRG) Doc 9868 of Annex 1 Personnel Licensing and Annex 10 Aeronautical Telecommunication.

Entry Requirements

The participants should be holders of either BSC in telecommunication or Diploma in telecommunication or equivalent. 

Proficiency in the English language 

Who Should Attend

The target population is the new entrants and existing personnel at the basic level employed by the Civil Aviation Authority or organization primarily responsible for the application of ANS

Objectives

To provide ATSEPs with knowledge, skills and attitude to prepare them for the On-the-Job Training and phase qualification for license and ratings in accordance with ICAO (2017), Doc 10057 Manual on Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel Competency-based Training and Assessment.
