What is East African School of Aviation all about?

The East African School of Aviation (EASA) is the training directorate of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), which is a parastatal under the Ministry of Roads and Transport. EASA is a premier aviation training institution that specializes in providing world-class training in aviation management, air traffic control, aviation safety, security, aircraft maintenance, and other related fields. 

EASA is also recognized as an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Platinum Training Centre of Excellence (TCE), ensuring that its training programs meet global aviation standards. Do you offer piloting?

No, the East African School of Aviation (EASA) does not offer piloting courses. However, we specialize in training for other key aviation careers, including Air Traffic Control (ATC), Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation Safety & Security, Airline Operations, and Airport Management.

What is the Minimum Entry Qualification for your courses?

The minimum entry qualifications for courses at the East African School of Aviation (EASA) vary depending on the program. Below are the general requirements:

  1. Ab Initio Courses (Diploma & Certificate)
  • Certificate Courses – Minimum KCSE D+ (Plus) or equivalent.
  • Diploma Courses – Minimum KCSE C- (Minus) or equivalent.

Do you offer students meals and accommodation?

Accommodation:

Yes, EASA provides on-campus accommodation for students. The hostels are safe, comfortable, and conveniently located within the campus. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Meals:

EASA has a cafeteria and dining facilities offering a variety of meals including African and continental cuisines at affordable rates. Students can purchase meals at the poolside restaurant on a pay-as-you-eat basis while those accommodated on-campus are on full-board package.

What are the requirements for one to graduate?

To be eligible for graduation at EASA, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Academic Requirements
  • Successfully complete all required course units for the chosen program (Certificate, Diploma & Professional Course).
  • Attain the minimum pass mark in all assessments, including coursework, exams, and practical training.
  • Successfully complete any internship or industrial attachment, where applicable.
  1. Financial Requirements
  • Clear all tuition fees and other financial obligations to the institution.
  • Obtain a financial clearance letter from the Finance Office.
  1. Administrative Clearance
  • Return all library books and institutional resources before graduation.
  • Maintain good disciplinary standing throughout the study period.
  • Obtain clearance from relevant departments (Library, Hospitality, Finance, etc.).
  1. Application for Graduation
  • Submit a graduation application form before the deadline.
  • Pay the required graduation fees.
