The East African School of Aviation joined the global community in celebrating International Womenβs Day through an inspiring event organized by the Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM) Kenya Chapter under the theme βGive to Gain.β
The celebration featured a distinguished panel discussion graced by Dr. Serah Waitiki, Director of EASA; Diana Nyambura, CEO of Skyward Express; Effie Ochieng, Learning, Development & Talent Lead at Kenya Airways; and Captain Gilbert Kibe, Managing Director of Air Transport Consulting Ltd.
The panelists shared powerful insights on mentorship, leadership, and the importance of supporting the next generation of aviation professionals. The discussions underscored how giving knowledge, opportunities, and support to others ultimately strengthens the entire aviation ecosystem.
