Since E-learning is a method of knowledge transfer whereby the learner is geo-separated from the lecturer/instructor, it has proven useful where physical interactions are limited.
Using internet and/or computing technology to access the content and lessons as appropriate, the classes are held remotely either in real time (synchronous) or at own pace/convenience (asynchronous).
EASA has adopted this methodology for some of its courses.
