The Primary Surveillance Radar / Airport Surface Movement Radar course is designed to provide participants with theoretical background and practical skills and attitude required for establishment of Primary Surveillance Radar/ Airport Surface Movement Radar within an organization as guided by ICAO Annex 10 & ICAO Doc 4444/Doc 9684
Holders of either BSC in telecommunication or Diploma in telecommunication or equivalent.
Have successfully undergone ATSEP Phase 1- Qualification training and the corresponding OJT or equivalent
Be able to communicate in written and spoken English
ATSEP personnel (Engineers, Technologists, Technicians and Developmental Technicians)
Explain the fundamental principles of Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) and Airport Surface Movement Radar (ASMR).
Identify and describe key components of radar systems used for airport surface movement monitoring.
Understand signal processing techniques and target detection methods in radar systems.
Analyze the integration of ASMR with other ATC surveillance systems.
