The East African School of Aviation (EASA) joined the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) Sustainability Committee, the Embakasi East Environment Team, and the Green Army in commemorating World Environment Day 2026 under the theme:
โInspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.โ
The event was graced by the Director of EASA, Dr. Serah Waitiki, who led staff and students in activities aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.
The celebration brought together staff, students, partners, and members of the neighbouring community in a shared commitment to environmental stewardship. Activities undertaken during the day included tree planting and the EASA/Kabansora clean-up exercise, aimed at promoting a cleaner environment, enhancing green spaces, and fostering responsible environmental practices.
Participants also took part in sensitization sessions on hazardous waste management, reinforcing the importance of collective action in protecting the environment and addressing climate change.
EASA remains committed to supporting environmental sustainability initiatives and contributing to global efforts towards climate action, ecosystem restoration, and the creation of a greener future for generations to come.
